Stadl is situated almost 90 miles (140 km) south of Salzburg in the province of Styria (Steiermark) - 'The Green Heart of Austria', and is also close to the borders of Carinthia (Kaernten) and Salzburgerland. Styria have some the best homes in Austria. We have a development of 11 renovated flats, in the small village of Stadl an der Mur.

The garden is very large and private, at the end is the river Mur fishing can be done from here.There is a large out building of which we will convert into storage areas. We will supply a barbeque area, and summer house. We have room for a swimming pool this can be built if all the owners agree the cost of a open pool cost around 35,000 euros so less that 3,500 each

Stadl is a quaint, small and sunny village it has a population of just over 1,000 inhabitants and has several shops along the main road including a florist, bakers, chemist, post office, hairdressers, police station and 3 supermarkets. There are 3 coffee bars serving snacks and 2 Restaurants. Also in the village there is a large hotel and a number of smaller pensions and gestofs. We even have one small night club.

For the children we have a lovely park which contains a swimming lake (fed by pure spring water), which doubles up as a skating rink in the winter, a café serving food and drinks in the summer, tennis courts, a football field, a beach volleyball court, a roller skating half-pipe, and a children's play area with wooden climbing frames and rope course. The park is a 3 minute walk from our apartments and is a pleasant way of spending a relaxing day in the Summer.

In the immediate vicinity of Stadl is the ski resort of Kreischberg. It’s just a 10 minute drive from the apartmentst to the gondola station at St Lorenzen and there are plans to build a new gondola from Stadl 4 mins walk from the apartments to the top-station making access to the slopes even easier. Kreischberg has 29 km of skiing of which 72% is either easy or intermediate. All the normal facilities can be found here with ski hire, servicing, ski schools and mountain restaurants available, all in all a great place to start your family holiday. There are 6 other ski resorts in the Mur valley, and they are all covered on the same lift pass with the resorts of Frauenalpe and Grebenzen both of which are near to Murau, being the closest town to Stadl.
